GuideThe Sacrifice
The Sacrifice
A family member who finished an act of the oath may give their life for the house: their heir keeps every boon and the house gains 10 renown.
When you can do it
The Chronicle's Sacrifice page shows each condition with a tick or a cross.
- Your current character finished an act of the oath during their life.
- It is night, under a full moon. The full moon comes every 8 nights; the book counts down.
- You stand within 6 blocks of an ancestor's resting place: where any family member of your house died. A founder with no graves yet may use the steward's home instead.
How
open the Chronicle and click The Sacrifice bookmark (or the link on its contents page). The [Offer your life] button is at the top of that page. If something is missing, chat tells you exactly what; otherwise a scroll asks you to confirm with [I give my life]. When a character finishes an act, chat also offers a [How?] link.

What happens
- Your character dies for real. Their belongings fall where they knelt; heirlooms stay with the family as always.
- They are remembered as the Devoted, and the whole server hears that they gave their life for the house.
- Every child keeps all of the parent's boons, the house gains +10 renown, and no blood debt is created.
- The next act of the oath can begin with the heir.
- After three sacrifices, the house becomes Blood-Sworn: a legendary trait (+1 attack damage, +2 armor, +1 heart) for every member, now and in the future.
